The Northern Shoveler was first counted in 1940 (count year 41) and the latest data we have is in 2011 (count year 112). It has been tallied 54 times in 19 locations. A total of 750 birds have been counted. The highest count was 385 birds enumerated in LaCrosse-LaCrescent in 1998.
