The White-winged Crossbill was first counted in 1913 (count year 14) and the latest data we have is in 2011 (count year 112). It has been tallied 450 times in 80 locations. A total of 16,362 birds have been counted. The highest count was 786 birds enumerated in Duluth in 1971.
