Regarding the MOU's official CBC dataset...

A. The CBC dataset maintianed by the MOU does not in any way trump, over-rule, supplant, or invalidate any local CBC dataset. The MOU does not, and will not dictate to any local CBC compiler, group, or effort the species that can be included on thier local list. The sole purpose of the MOU maintained dataset is to provide the most reputable, reliable, and accurate set of CBC data pertaining to Minnesota observations.
B. Data contained in the MOU's official CBC dataset have been reviewed by several MOU and MOURC members in order to provide to most reputable, reliable dataset possible. Unfortunately, some reported observations have not been included ni the official dataset that pertain to valid reliable reports.
1) Potentially valid reports that were previously not included in the MOU dataset are not displayed on this web site, however, details regarding the observation and te reasons for not including the records are retained by the MOU CBC compiler in case further review is necessary.
2) In most cases, the reason certain records were not included in the final dataset is due to a lack of documentation (including a description of the species) of the observation. Compilers or observers who have information pertaining to an observation not uincluded in the MOU dataset may submit it to the MOU CBC compiler for further review.
