Center Point Description:

The count circle is centered on Douglas County Rd 42 on the channel between Lake Le Homme Dieu and Lake Carlos on the Alexandria Chain of Lakes. It includes the City of Alexandria, Lake Carlos State Park, two WMA's, Lake Ida, and most of Lake Miltona..

Historic Compilers


     This count was started in 2010 (count year 111) and the first compiler was Alex Watson. The latest data we have is in 2011 (count year 112). This circle has been censused 2 times and 3,139 birds have been counted. On average, the low temperature is 17.5 °F while the high temperature is 29.5 °F, 11.0 bird watchers participate while 4.5 people do feeder counts. Since the inception of this census, 22 people have participated with an additional 9 watching feeders.
