I got an email from a man in Angora, 15 miles north of Chisholm, who
has a Varied Thrush at his feeder. He sent me a photo to verify. He
and his wife aren't birders, but they have given permission for
birders to come see it. I don't feel comfortable posting their
address and directions on the Web, but I'll be home all morning to
send them to anyone who might wish to see this bird. If there is
someone else who will be around this afternoon or as a backup whenever
I'm away in coming days, let me know and I'll send you directions,
too.

There is symbolic as well as actual beauty in the migration of birds.
There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of
nature--the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after
the winter.
