[mou] Ottertail, MN Red-headed woodpecker

My husband spotted a Red-headed woodpecker about 3 mi. S. of the city of Ottertail along Hwy. 78 this AM.  Strangely, it was sitting on the road pecking at some roadkilled creature.  I've never heard of such behavior before.  Anyone else?
