Central MN has been excellent the last few days:

* Cattle Egret, Mille Lacs County (CR 12, 3/4 mile off 169, will advise if
returns - flew around neighbor's horse pen/yard this morning - first county
record?)

* Northern Mockingbird, Kanabec County (see Craig's post for directions - he
led us to the very headstone it perched on - thanks!)

* Yellow Rail, Mille Lacs County (Milaca Sewage Ponds, strange place to
"tic, tic" from at 8:00 AM - whatever happened to late PM or early AM drives
along 65, near McGregor?)

* Three Franklin's Gulls, Sherburne NWR, Blue Hill Trail this morning (fly
overs).

How south & west were those winds the last couple of days?

19 warblers Saturday in Mille Lacs County, 18 of them at Kathio. Only
shorebird activity was Friday night in Benton County (previously posted by
Nathan), very little along the Mille Lacs lakefront with all the fishermen.

Glad it's not May all the time - not sure my heart would take it.
