I just got back from birding Sherburne NWR and found an Upland Sandpiper. The location was after the road goes to a one way, it makes a hard right and there is a small wooded area on your right and prairie on your left. I parked where the road turns left with a do not enter road going straight. The birds were on the left in the prairie area. They called several times and then flew across the road towards the entrance. The refuge checklist has them marked as having nested there, but I've never seen them there before.

Other birds seen include: Orchard Oriole, E. Towhee, Rose Breasted Grosbeak, Grasshopper sparrow, Scarlet Tanager, a few warblers, etc.
