[mou] Aitkin County Birding Update

Butch Ukura and I birded around the northern parts of Aitkin County 
today and found a few interesting birds.
Along the Hedbom Forest Road:  2 THREE-TOED WOODPECKERS ( about 9.3 
miles east from the west entrance), 6 BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKERS  (also in 
the same area), 4 BOREAL CHICKADEES ( about 5.6 miles east from the west 
entrance), 2 PINE GROSBEAKS, a BALD EAGLE and a small flock of SNOW 
BUNTINGS.
Along Aitkin County Road 18: a BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER (about one 
quarter mile east of the Hebron Cemetery), 50 - 60 COMMON REDPOLLS, 4 
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS, a NORTHERN HARRIER, 3 BALD EAGLES and a RUFFED GROUSE..
In Palisade: a NORTHERN SHRIKE and PINE GROSBEAKS.      Warren Nelson
