We think it looks like a house sparrow . . . Very late born or sickly.

Could someone please take a look at these photos from this morning and
give their opinion on what this bird might be?

My first thought was Gray-crowned Rosy Finch or like bird.  The bird
seems a bit less skittish than the Juncos and House Sparrows.  It also
sparrow hops faster than house sparrows by a fair margin.  In fact, the
speed it hopped first caught my eye since I figured it was a house
sparrow from a distance. I have more photos.
