Subject: Black-bellied Whistling-Duck in Hennepin County

Sunday Oct. 28, 2007 we located a Black-bellied Whistling-Duck at
Anderson Lakes in Eden Prairie/Bloomington (The Anderson Lakes Park
entrance just west of Hwy169)

We observed the duck from 4:40 to 5:30 p.m. in the small pond filled
with the dead tree snags located by following the main tarred path up
the hill and then the grass-trodden trail leading down to the pond on
the downside of the hill (hope the directions are O.K.) Duck was
sleeping on a log in the water on the left side of the pond.
