At Ritter Farm Park (Lakeville) this morning, there were 5 horned grebes,
along with several other species on the big lake: loon, ring-billed ducks,
lesser scaup, Great egret, blue-wing teal, coots, mallards, and Canada
geese. Also present in the park were pie-billed grebes, bald eagles, tree
swallows, kildeer, red-wing blackbirds; song, field, and chipping sparrows;
cowbirds; downy, hairy, red-bellied and Pileated woodpeckers; y-b
sapsuckers, bluebirds, cardinals, goldfinches, robins; chickadees, wb
nuthatch, brown creeper, E. phoebe, both kinglets, y-r warbler; and FOY
palm warblers. Thee was one fly-over by a sandhill crane.

A check of Bass Ponds this afternoon found no avocets, but there were a few
greater yellow-legs and many pelicans, and a couple of palm warblers now
added to birds mentioned in earlier posts about this site.
