[mou] First of years, migration thoughts

Recent first of years:

Tuesday 4/22 - expected, Broad-winged Hawk & White-throated Sparrow -
unexpected, Gray Catbird (all southern Mille Lacs County)

Monday 4/21 - Caspian Tern (single flyover in Sherburne Refuge)

Saturday 4/19 - Lesser Yellowlegs & Brewer's Blackbird.

Interesting April migration - many birds 7-10 days behind anticipated
timing, few earlier than normal - latter particularly in southern Mille Lacs
areas (Kunkel WMA, Pioneer Park, CR 12, Milaca Hiking Trails - eg, Blue-Gray
Gnatcatcher on 4/16 at Kunkel, still listed as only one in state on MOU
maps).

Guess migration is still 95% logical, 5% bizarre.

Good birding to all!
