Here is an unofficial Rochester Christmas Bird Count report from Clifford
Hansen in Rochester
 
The Rochester Christmas bird count was held Saturday December 15.  30 people
participated in roving teams, and 10 people mailed in feeder reports.  The
roving teams found 56 species of birds, including a Townsend's Solitaire
near Oronoco, a Wilson's Snipe southwest of Rochester, and a chipping
sparrow at Quarry Hill Nature Center.  The feeder reports included two
additional species, a Carolina Wren and two northern flickers.  Two more
species were reported during the count week, short-eared owl and belted
kingfisher, making 60 species total.
