I was surprised at the number of birds still singing at Bemidji SP yesterday
morning - between 10:00-11:00 am.
Saw/heard the following:
Hermit Thrush - 2 (saw and heard)
Mourning Warbler - 1 (saw and heard)
Nashville Warblers - 4 (heard)
Yellow-rumped Warblers - 2 (saw)
Black-throated Green Warblers - 2 (heard)
Chestnut-sided Warblers - 3 (saw and heard)
Northern Parula - 1 (heard)
Black and White Warbler - 1 (heard)
American Redstart - 2 (heard)
Ovenbirds - 3 (heard)
Common Yellowthroat - 1(heard)
White-throated Sparrows - many heard and seen

As a side note - the Showy Ladyslippers are in full bloom, Pitcher Plants in
