97 species in the Sherburne NWR, Princeton & Milaca areas since Monday.
Migration has slowed dramatically. Selected sightings/hearings:

* 4-5 Whip-poor-wills calling at Ann Lake/Sand Dunes - plus one "kuk" or
"chuck" call that bears further investigation.

* Only nine warblers (10 nest in area), but these do include Golden-winged,
Blue-winged and Mourning. Have a second hand report of a Cerulean on Blue
Hill Trail from a very reliable source, but haven't heard/seen it yet.

* Still have an occasional drumming Ruffed Grouse. Orchard Oriole on the
Auto Tour. Wood Thrushes singing on Blue Hill Trail (unusual location for
them).

* Only three shorebirds, but seven woodpecker species.

* 18 Grasshopper Sparrows singing on the Auto Tour this morning; 10 sparrow
species total.

* Have not yet located Dickcissels (nested in my southern Mille Lacs yard
last three years, usually arrive early June).

Good birding to all!
