Signs of Spring around the Farm in Clearwater County.
American Kestrel on the power lines at the stockyard on the corner of
201st Ave and Cty Rd 26.
Canada Goose, several small groups heard and seen this week including
one lone goose in Itasca State Park.
Dark-eyed Junco, a single bird appeared in the brush pile near the
feeders on Thursday.
Great Horned Owls were heard calling Thursday evening.
Pileated an Hairy Woodpeckers have been drumming all week. The
Pileated are very vocal.

Pine Grosbeaks appear to have moved on. The feeders continue to host
a veritable hoard of C. Redpoll and A. Goldfinch.
Squirrels, both Red and Grey, are acting frisky. Skunks are venturing
out along the roadways and fields. Yes, the sweet smell of Spring is
definitely in the air.
