This afternoon I found a female Hudsonian Godwit in a flooded field
north of the twon of Nicollet. About a mile north of Hwy. 99 on Hwy.
111 there is what appears to be a new wildlife management area access
on the east side of the highway. Drive into this area and park in the
gravel lot at the end, then look to your east to the flooded fields in
front of the wetlands. This is where the bird was foraging.

Also the Willet and at least one Red-necked Phalarope were still
present at the Gaylord sewage ponds in Sibley County along with other
species. Also notable were a couple breeding-plumaged Sanderlings and
two Ruddy Turnstones.
