[mou] Aitkin County this last weekend

Bill Stauffer and I birded around the Aitkin County area this last 
weekend and found a total of 134 species. A few of the notables: a GREAT 
GRAY OWL along Aitkin County Road 18  (3/10 of a mile east of the Hebron 
Cemetery); SHARP-TAILED GROUSE in two areas also along C.R.18 (the first 
at 1/2 mile east of hwy 169, the other about 3 miles east of hwy 169); 
singing LINCOLN'S SPARROWS at the junction of C.R. 18 and Pietz's Road; 
BLACK-BILLED MAGPIES on the north side of Gun Lake along twhp 283, one 
mile west of C.R.5.
Garrison Bay: several hundred CASPIAN TERNS, FORSTER'S TERNS and COMMON 
TERNS as well as several shorebirds including RUDDY 
TURNSTONES,SANDERLINGS and DUNLINS.
