A flock of Cedar Waxwings that has frequented the U of M - St. Paul campus for the last few days has grown to an estimated 500 individuals.  Without binoculars, I have not been able to closely examine the whole group for Bohemian Waxwings, but I will attempt to if they are still around tomorrow.  The birds are oblivious to humans, as dozens often landed within 5 feet of where I stood.  This morning the feeding frenzy was briefly interrupted by a pass from a rocketing Merlin that was unsuccessful in catching a waxwing.
