Hawk <http://www.hawkridge.org/education/volunteer.html> Ridge is Seeking Volunteers for the Fall Migration Season

How would you like to have an excuse to visit Duluth, come to Hawk Ridge and watch and learn about the fall migration?? Hawk Ridge is seeking volunteers to help at the main overlook for the next eight weeks!

We ask that our volunteers commit to a minimum of 24 hours of service between September 1 and October 31. We are flexible and creative with scheduling. Some volunteers come for a three-hour shift once each week, others come for three days in a row and get in their 24 hours all at once. We WANT your participation, and are willing to flex with YOUR schedule in order to make your experience productive for everyone.

Volunteers assist in duties such as: greeting visitors, selling merchandise, pointing out and identifying birds to visitors, office work, running errands, construction projects and more. Ultimately, our volunteers are our front-line welcoming committee. We don't want ANYONE to leave Hawk Ridge with unanswered questions.

You don't need to be a raptor pro to be an effective volunteer. We’ve designed a training program that will give you the confidence and knowledge to be effective, friendly and confident when you come for your first ‘shift’.

We have one more training sessions for this season's new volunteers:

Saturday, September 6, 3:00-6:30pm at St. Anthony’s Episcopal Church, 4401 Glenwood St.

45th Ave East and Glenwood Street, (formerly St. Edward’s Episcopal Church)

Alternate arrangements can be made if this training time is impossible for you to attend.

If you want to join us, I'll need your full name, address and phone number for my records, please. This information is not shared with any other organizations.

I believe that you’ll really enjoy your time with us!

Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

Julie
