This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday, October 2nd 2008.

The ROCK WREN was still at the Grand Marais campground in Cook County on
the 27th. It was again along the lake shore near the yellow maintenance
garages.

Two RED-THROATED LOONS flew past the Hawk Ridge overlook in Duluth on
the 27th.

New southbound migrants reported this past week include TUNDRA SWAN,
WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, SURF SCOTER, LONG-TAILED DUCK, GREAT BLACK-BACKED
GULL, and THAYER'S GULL.

The next scheduled update of this tape is Thursday, October 9th 2008.
