Great Gray Owl in St. Louis County

Common in St. Louis County in the Winter season

This owl has been photographed by so many birders and bird photographers. On some Saturday nights there maybe as many as thirty birders lining up along the road to view this owl. The owl is tolerant of large crowds of birders and it will literally sit on its perch and watch people come and go out of their cars and listen to them clatter about there day in the bog. Tonight was no different as the owl came out as if on cue.
