Black-crowned Night-Heron in Beltrami County

Occasional in Beltrami County in the Fall season

Only the third Black-crowned Heron I have seen in Beltrami County in 27 years, so fairly uncommon. All were seen in fall and hatch year birds. A juvenile bird with relatively faint streaking on chest. Seen on Bemidji waterfront at Library Park near Paul and Babe the blue ox.
