On June 3rd, Roger Schroeder found a CINNAMON TEAL in Big Stone County. It was in a flooded field on the east side of U.S. highway 75 about two miles north of its intersection with U.S. highway 12. This is just north of Gulf Club Drive.

On June 2nd, there was an UPLAND SANDPIPER on Dakota County road 79 across from the Jirck Sod Farms in Empire Township. From U.S. highway 52 go west on county road 66 to county road 79. Turn south and drive to the sod farm.

Peder Svingen reported the following species from northwestern Minnesota on June 3rd: a RED KNOT at the Crookston sewage lagoons in Polk County. Eleven species shorebirds at the Warren lagoons in Marshall County, including pair of WILLETS, a pair of RED-NECKED PHALAROPES, and one SANDERLING. And a EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE at Springsteel Island in Roseau County.

A NORTHERN HAWK OWL was discovered in Cook County on the 2nd. It was seen 2/10 of a mile south of the Seagull Guard Station along the Gunflint Trail.

A HENSLOW'S SPARROW was found on the 4th at Odens Waterfowl Production Area in Douglas County. To locate the bird, follow the minimum maintenance road on the east side of the WPA to the parking lot. The bird was singing approximately 35 yards northwest of here. On the 2nd, two Henslow's Sparrows were in Clay County at the Buffalo River State Park. They were heard in the prairie area of the park to the west of the old road that begins at the end of the picnic parking lot. And at O.L. Kipp state Park in Winona County several Henslow's Sparrows can be heard in the fields just beyond the Contact Station. A Bell's Vireo is also being heard here about 150 yards from the Kings Bluff Trail.

CERULEAN WARBLERS can be found at Murphy-Hanrehan park in Scott County. The easiest location to find them is along Sunset Boulevard just west of Blaylock Circle.

And a MUTE SWAN was reported by Jay Hamernick on June 6th in Anoka County along state highway 65 just north of 187th Lane.
