Male and female, red crossbills at Camden State Park, Lyon County on =
August 27, 2003, Blue Bird Trail. We heard them first and then spent 20 =
minutes watching them. They flew into a grove of trees and perched for =
20 minutes. There were plenty of berries available. We hiked the Blue =
Bird and River Trails and sighted 52 species from dawn to dusk! They =
included a Northern parula, Wilson's warbler, Tennessee Warbler, and a =
Least flycatcher. It was a very good day!
