This afternoon my dad and I went looking for roosting Long-eared Owls at =
the Wilkie Unit just east of Valleyfair in Scott County. Around 1:30 we =
spooked one from its roost on the north side of the pines. The bird =
flew back into the dense pines and we could not relocate the bird. Note =
that there are signs posted to prohibit entering the pines, so if you =
plan on looking for this bird you should scan the pines from the path =
surrounding the stand on the north side. =20
