Hello:
This afternoon I birded at the Sleepy Eye sewage ponds and found an =
interesting mix of birds which included:
@ Red-necked Phalaropes - 7 (have been finding these regularly over the =
past week)
@ Wilson's Phalaropes - 3
@ Semipalmated Sandpipers - 8
@ Baird's Sandpiper - 5
@ Spotted Sandpiper - 4
@ Red-Throated Grebe - 1
@ Eared Grebes - 4
@ Hooded Mergansers - 2
Also, Mallard, Lesser Scaup, Ruddy Duck, Redhead, Blue-winged Teal, Wood =
Duck (with young), Black Tern, many Canada Geese.
