May 28.
Since May 24, I have had a singing Mourning Warbler on my property, =
under a powerline cut that goes thru a deciduous woodlot. I keep =
expecting him to leave, but I saw and heard him still singing this =
morning in the same location: typically about 15 feet up in the trees =
at the edge of the cut. He also sings just before it gets dark in the =
evenings. I would be surprised if he attracts a mate, but it has been =
interesting to observe. An Indigo Bunting, with his incessant song, has =
been on territory in the same location for over a week which is to be =
more expected. =20
