This morning at Park Point I spotted a Red-throated Loon on Lake =
Superior. I observed the loon from the board walk near the air port =
buildings. The loon was swimming and diving down by the superior entry =
near the rocky pier.
I stop at several places along Park Point and did not see any =
shorebirds, or any other water fowl. I also stopped at Herding and =
Interstate Islands and did not see any shorebirds.
At Interstate Island there are a few terns and a Bonaparte's Gull =
resting on the wood pilings but other than that it is very very inactive =
around Duluth!
