As I sit here filling out the ridiculously complex tax forms for my
impoverished carpenter brother, I saw your e-mail.

My thought is very simple: Welcome to the club.  There are so many broad,
sweeping, insanely complex and usually unenforced laws that we're all in
violation of something.  The bureaucracy and the politicians have us exactly
where they want us -- helpless if they want to get us.

No, I won't give up the Bald Eagle feather I picked up on an Alaskan beach
while hiking with my 1 year old son.
