Lewiston Sewage lagoons on Saturday morning from 10am-noon.

There were a lot of birds to watch here this morning.

Swallows:
@ Tree Swallow - 1000+
@ Barn Swallow - 4
@ Cliff Swallow - 8
@Bank Swallow - 1

Shorebirds:
@ Pectoral Sandpiper - 150+
@ Semipalmated Plover - 25+
@ Lesser Yellowlegs - 25+
@ Least/Semipalmated Sandpiper - 20+
@ Baird's Sandpiper - 2
@ Stilt Sandpiper - 1
and most exciting were lifers:
@ Red-necked Phalarope - 4

also Mallard, Blue-winged Teal, Northern Shovelor, Savannah Sparrow.

At 11:30 something scared the birds and the whole group flew off with =
the exception of the phalaropes, ducks, and a few pectoral, peep and =
yellowlegs. A few swallows returned, but nothing else. I guess migration =
was calling.
