Hi everyone!
John Hockema, Josh Watson, Forest Strnad and I ended up having a great =
day of birding in Rice County today. Forest and I birded a bit before =
meeting up with John and Josh at 10 A.M. Forest birded with us in the =
morning. Here were the highlights:

All five swallows plus Purple Martin
House Wren
Marsh Wren
Yellow-headed Blackbird
Virginia Rail in two locations
hundreds of flying Pelicans
White-throated, Vesper, Savannah, Field, Chipping, and Swamp Sparrows
Mute Swan
Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs
hundreds of Ruddy Ducks
and a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

We missed on Broad-winged Hawk, Brown Thrasher, Horned Grebe, Eastern =
Towhee, and Orange-crowned Warbler. Maybe tomorrow...

Good birding!
