[mou] New to the area

[marimbafan]

I'm new to Minnesota (from Montana), so please forgive
me if this sighting is not as exotic for you as it was
for me.  Had a female Northern Flicker (yellow shaft
sp.) working our backyard lawn for about half an hour
this rainy Sunday morning, pecking the ground for
creepy crawlies underneath last season's fallen
leaves.  Personally, first Flicker sighting of season,
and first yellow shaft for this budding birder (we had
red shaft sp. out in Big Sky Country).
