Visited both the Empire and Castle Rock sod farms today (Aug. 6)and no shorebirds. Was hoping for early buff-breasted. The Castle Rock sod farms are about one half stripped of sod, which may bode well if we get a lot of rain this fall. Chet Meyers, Hennepin County
