Went to Pipestone on Saturday to see if the reported Towsend's Solitaire was
still hanging out. No sight of it, but 8 robins were there, lots of Field
and Tree sparrows, and every imaginable shade of Junco. At Current Lake, in
north west Murray County the aerators have opened a nice large patch of
water near the road along the north side. Lots of Canada geese and Mallards
but also a pair of Hooded Mergansers, a small group of Shovelers and Common
Goldeneye.
