We observed a Great gray Owl Sunday afternoon about 4:00PM at the =
location found by Jim Lind and mentioned in the Duluth Birding Report. =
It was on Cty Rd 9 just under 4 miles from the Two Harbors Ford =
dealership (which is on the Expressway). It was sitting on a fence post =
very near the road and did not flush when we stopped beside it. Also =
seen on our drive along the North Shore from Grand Marais to Duluth were =
2 White-winged Scoters in Grand Marais harbor, Bohemian Waxwings at =
Boulder Park in Grand Marais, several flocks of Snow Buntings, several =
Rough-legged Hawks, and many Bald Eagles.
