[mou] Sunday birding in Aitkin County

I birded around the county today and found a few things of interest: 10
GREAT GRAY OWLS, 9 NORTHERN HAWK OWLS, 1 BARRED OWL, 1 GREAT HORNED OWL,
2 BLACK-BILLED MAGPIES ( near Gun Lake), 6 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS (also near
Gun Lake), 2 SHARP-TAILED GROUSES ( on C.R. 18 about 1 & 7/10 miles east
of hwy 169) , 4 GRAY JAYS, 6 BALD EAGLES, 12 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS, several
COMMON REDPOLLS.
Locations for the NORTHERN HAWK OWLS:
#1) on CR 22 about 1/2 mile west of its junction with CR 1
#2) on CR 1 about 3 & 1/2 miles north of the diversion channel
#3) on CR 1 at the junction with township 379
#4) on highway 169 about 1 & 1/2 miles south of CR 18
#5) on CR 18 at 8/10 mile east of hwy 169
#6) on CR 18 at 1 & 8/10 miles east of hwy 169
#7) on CR 18 at 2 & 1/2 miles east of hwy 169
#8) on CR 18 at 4/10 mile west of CR 5
#9) on Pietz's Road at 1 & 1/4 miles north of CR 18
Locations for the GREAT GRAY OWLS:
#1 & #2) on CR 18 at 4/10 mile east of hwy 169
#3) on CR 18 at 2 & 1/10 miles east of hwy 169
#4) on CR 18 at 2 & 8/10 miles east of hwy 169
#5) on CR 18 at 3/10 mile east of Pietz's Road
#6) on Pietz's Road at 2/10 north of CR 18
#7 & #8) on Pietz's Road at the very end of the road
#9) on CR 1 at 3/10 mile south of the junction with CR 3
#10) on CR 1 at 8/10 mile north of township 379
