Nathan & I birded Sax-Zim, Hawk Ridge (only briefly), Knife River, Two =
Harbors and Wisconsin Point yesterday. Best finds were a Northern Hawk =
Owl in Sax-Zim (2.5 miles north of Sax Road on Highway 7, east side of =
road) and a Black-backed Woodpecker (literally blown into the trees =
along Agate Bay in Two Harbors). Otherwise, from an unusual bird =
viewpoint, we found most of the areas to be relatively quiet. =20
Perhaps the 30+ mile an hour winds blowing "straight out" hampered at =
least the Lake Superior birding. Good day, nonetheless.
