Today in Rice Lake State Park I saw a Western Kingbird on the west side
of the road going north from the main campground, just south of the
group campground.
Yesterday (9/12) at Oxbow County Park I saw a Red-breasted Nuthatch in
the conifers by the third bridge parking lot. Oxbow county park is a
great place with hiking trails and varied terrain. It is located on
county road 105 just north of county road 4. There were twelve species
of warblers there yesterday as well as a juvenile cuckoo that could have
been either species.
