Cindy Hanson spotted a mysterious heron-like bird at the captioned location.
It was heron-sized and conformed (snake neck etc.), tan/buff with a
completely white head.
I know there is an intermediate morph (Wurdemann's Heron), but I did not know
they are found in Minnesota (or that they may have a tan/buff body). The
bird was definitely not a sandhill crane.
Can you help?
