To follow along with the message Al posted yesterday, here are some
recent observations just a bit south of Al, in Wright county in Otsego,
which, where I live, is less than 500 yards over the Hennepin/Wright
county line.
Hooded Merganser (2) - On the Crow River along Cty Rd 36 just inside
the Wright county line, floating along the river.
Red-tailed Hawks (2) - Involved in mating displays/flights and soaring
right over my house in River Pointe just off Cty Rd 36
Killdeer (2) - FOS (first of season) on the grass of my neighbors lawn
this morning at 6:20am.
Red-winged Blackbirds (2) - FOS in the cattails in the marsh behind my
house on 3/21, 9 days later than last year.
