Hi,
My family and I saw two Great Gray Owls east of Rush City at dusk last =
night, 3/23/05. One was south of County Rd 55, about 1 mile east of =
361/Forest Blvd (if you're familiar with Rush City, this is about 1 mile =
east of the Grant House). The other was about .8 mi east of Forest Blvd =
south of 500th St (along Hickory Avenue).
Here's a Google map (you may need to zoom in a level or two):

My dad said that a few Great Grays have been seen generally east of Rush =
City over the last week or two. He's been farming in the area and =
actively observing birds for a good six decades, and he'd never seen a =
Great Gray Owl there until this month.
