I arrived this morning at 6:15am expecting great things and was not
disappoiinted. Here are the highlights:
Henslow's Sparrows-Heard at 6 different spots! 5 between 31 & 32
on both sides of the trail and 1 between 34 & 35 where I've=20
never heard one before.
American Pipits-A nice flock in the burned area between 32 & 34
Common Nighthawks-A flock flew over in the same area as above
Wood Thrush-Calling in the woods east of 17
The total count for a little over 3 hours was 90 species with
12 Sparrows(Grasshopper & Harris)
12 Warblers(Golden-winged)
3 Vireos, Grosbeaks, Orioles, Flycatchers and a lot more, many singing.
