Subject: [mou] Novice & Intermediate Birders
I love this group! You're like the scout that goes on ahead and steers =
the traveling party in the right direction.
I can safely say you've allowed me to double my State list. Anyway, I'm =
hoping you can help me with my question.
I have a couple of friends in the Twin Cities area that love to bird but =
are pretty new at it. When i can get there, we go together but they =
would both like to improve their skills without me as i don't make the =
trip often enough (especially during peak exciting times like these).
Are there any resources that i can steer them to?
They are probably at the level where they can easily tell the difference =
between a Goldfinch and a Yellow Warbler but have real trouble with more =
"look-alike" species, like sparrows & gulls, and even thrushes, hawks, =
etc. =20
Are there any classes or birding groups in the Metro area that would not =
get frustrated with my friends' abilities?
Thanks!..............................Mike
