On my site are a couple of images that I would be interested in having =
some feedback on:

http://www.greensphotoimages.com/gallery/spotlightimage/

1) Sora?
I have posted an image taken by a photographer friend of mine, Dave =
Edwards, while we were at Trempealeau NWR last Saturday. Feedback from a =
birder id the bird as "possibly a Sora". Dave asked me to post it on my =
site to share with others and to obtain additional feedback, especially =
on the commonality of the bird? It is in my New Images folder and =
labeled "Sora".=20

2) Beaver or Muskrat?
I first labeled the first image in the "9/4 - Buffalo City and =
Trempealeau NWR" as a "beaver". However, a number of people have =
provided me feedback that it is a muskrat. Tonight, I got the following =
feedback from a Professor of Biology who stated "Tough one. No way to =
be 100% sure. But breadth of the head (and body) strongly suggest =
beaver. Also the size relative to water waves. Beaver are BIG relative =
to muskrat. So I'm about 80% sure of beaver." I would be interested in =
inputs from others. I have changed the file name 4 times so far. I hope =
those that have provided feedback are not offended by my interest in =
pursuing more? I really do appreciate them. It is just that there is =
some much variance in opinions from what are very trustworthy sources.

3) In the most recent edition of "Outdoor Photographer" (October 2005), =
it has a really good article on "Digiscoping" that I thought might be of =
interest to you birders who own or are considering the investment. I =
would say I was surprised to see this coming from a photography =
magazine. The article was very positive and extolled the benefits of =
such a setup. Also, it helped illustrate its utility via some examples, =
offered good advice on equipment choice, sources, and costs. It is =
called "Scoping the World" and can be located on page 68-71. Thought =
some of you might find the article of value?
