Snowy owls are often seen at both the Duluth and MSP airports. =
Although, I believe, the four owls being reported this year at MSP are =
the most we have had in the last twelve years or so that I am familiar =
with.
"In the East, during winter irruptions, snowy owls reside in coastal =
dunes, on salt marshes or frozen lake shores, in farmland and at =
airports -- all areas that look most like the Arctic tundra above tree =
line, where these owls are commonly found. New York's Kennedy Airport, =
Boston's Logan Airport and the Calgary International Airport attract =
one or more every winter..."

Good birding...
