I, too, was at the Beaver Creek Wildlife Management Area in LeRoy, MN
yesterday and saw the already reported Short-eared Owls. I want to add,
though, that there were a number of Rough-legged Hawks in the area as well.
And, WHO was the person described by Gwen "as someone in a bird blind right
in front of the spruce trees, with some serious glass poking out"? I'm
curious because the "serious glass" never moved! I'm wondering if it was
not for the Owls at all but, rather, was parked in front of a fox den and
the person was waiting for the fox to come out of the den - ?! I hope that
whomever it was, will respond as I really curious (and, evidentally, so are
others!).

I got some good photos of a Rough-legged Hawk eating a mouse. I'll let
everyone know when I get them on my website.
