For those planning to trek to Grand Marais today (Friday) to try for the 
Slaty-backed Gull, as of 9:20 a.m., it was located on the harbor, on the 
north side of the inside breakwater, near the Angry Trout Cafe. It was 
perched on the far eastern end of the breakwater, near the beacon. It is 
best seen from the dock at the Angry Trout, or anywhere along the walk from 
the Trout to Harbor Park.
