I birded in the rain today! There were Double Crested Cormorants (male and
female), Tree Swallows, Blue-Winged Teal, Kildeer, Mallards, and a Great
Egret at the 140th Street Marsh this afternoon and a Pied-billed Grebe,
Coots, two Great Egrets, two Blue Herons, Tree Swallows, and Kildeer at the
180th Street Marsh early this evening.

We have had a male and female Mallard on our property every day for the past
7 or 8 days. The male is banded (silver band). We have no water on our
property (we live in the country on 20 acres of land). Is there any
possibility that they would nest on our property with no water nearby?
